The Belgian-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (CCBP) organised last 30 November, in Brussels, a dinner-debate dedicated to the representation of Portuguese regional interests in Brussels. The main objective of the event was to raise awareness among the mayors present in Brussels on the occasion of the plenary session of the Committee of the Regions on the importance of representing the interests of their local authorities and regions in Brussels, following the example of the Alentejo and Azores regions, which already have representation offices in the capital of Europe. Vasco Cordeiro, President of the Committee of the Regions, was the guest of honour at the event, which was also attended by João Lança, from the Azores Office, Marcos Nogueira, from the Alentejo Office, and Isabel Estrada Carvalhais and Álvaro Amaro, MEPs. The event was also attended by the mayors of Sernancelhe, Carlos Silva, and Tabuaço, Carlos Carvalho, and several members and directors of the Belgo-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce.
