State Visit of the President of the Portuguese Republic to the Kingdom of Belgium

The State visit of the President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, to the Kingdom of Belgium took place from October 17th to 19th, following the State visit of the Kings of Belgium to Portugal, in October 2018.The last State Visit to Belgium by a President of the Portuguese Republic took place in 2005, when Jorge Sampaio was President.The 3-day agenda included visits to Brussels, Namur and Bruges, not only of an economic nature, but also of a cultural nature.
